<description><![CDATA[&nbsp; Task Force meets in Toronto&hellip; Most of the Task Force on Financial Literacy members descended on Toronto today for a full day of public consultations. &nbsp;Read more about some of the 19 groups and individuals who presented to the Task Force today at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in the Chair&rsquo;s Blog, now posted on Facebook. &nbsp; &hellip;and travels to Ottawa On May 12 and13 the Task Force will be In Ottawa at the Government Conference Centre for public consultations. &nbsp;The May 12 session runs from 9:00 a.m. until 4 p.m., and the May 13 session starts at 8:30 and ends at Noon. &nbsp; Ted Gordon Interview Task Force Member Ted Gordon did a second interview with CFRA-Ottawa&rsquo;s Business at Night on May 10. &nbsp;You can listen to his interview here. &nbsp; Don&rsquo;t Forget! <description><![CDATA[&nbsp; The Task Force on Financial Literacy begins its cross-Canada public consultations today in Vancouver, British Columbia and Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The sessions will feature presentations by groups and individuals representing a cross section of Canadian society, including the private, public and voluntary sectors.&nbsp; These sessions mark the beginning of 17 public consultations where members of the Task Force on Financial Literacy will hear directly from Canadians and engage them in a dialogue regarding financial literacy issues. For Vancouver, Yellowknife, Calgary, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg, the deadline has been extended by two days to accomodate demand from late registrants. The new deadline is this Thursday, March 25, by 5:00 p.m., local time. For Whitehorse, Iqaluit, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Moncton, Charlottetown, Halifax, and St. John's, the deadline is April 6.
